Joan – Resident:

“As seniors we have faced many challenges and changes and for many of us we are looking ahead to one of the big ones: choosing a retirement home. After living a busy, independent lifestyle and after much research, I chose Lookout Ridge in the beautiful area and rural setting of Fonthill, Ontario. I was looking for a warm, non-institutional setting with many options as to my lifestyle. I wanted a permanent “Home” where all my needs would be met now and in my future. I found all of that and more here at Lookout Ridge. The activities available are second to none; walking clubs, putting green, bridge, card games, trips to the mall, exercise classes and lots of excellent entertainers, choirs and guest speakers. We also have a great choir of residents who are really enjoying themselves. Our recreation directors keep us busy and laughing on a daily basis. Having a day care in the building for children allows us to read to and interact with the children, which is something we all really enjoy. We have excellent meals, apartments with large and bright rooms, some with patios and balconies, and comfortable lounges with fireplaces. The biggest asset by far is the staff and management. They are respectful and understanding and are here to make us happy. Their cheerfulness is sincere and appreciated. They care. I have been here for more than 5 years and I have never had a day where I wasn’t happy and grateful for what they do for us. From an old timer here, you can’t get any better than this!”

Howard T- Resident: When asked about his experience living at Lookout Ridge:

“First class! I love it here; it’s great!”

Bill N- Resident:

“The decision to move here was not hard. This was the first place I had ever looked at. I was really impressed with the structure and layout of the building; everything was functional, all the hall ways lead you somewhere whether it be a nice sitting area, a big window, or a beautiful painting; it just feels like home.

I have gone away on trips, but at the end of the week this is my home; and I can’t wait to get back. It is so comfortable, and everyone here is so great. I love being with people, and building relationships; it’s one of the most important things in life.

Some of the things that sold me on Lookout Ridge were the amenities. In my room I have a full kitchen with a stove, I have my own washer and dryer right in the room, yet I still have the option to go down and have a nice sit down dinner with my friends.

I have absolutely no complaints; I love living here…this is my home.”
